The members of FunGlass consortium met on their kick - off meeting in Trenčín on 7-8 March 2017. The representatives of European Commission - Ms. F. Roffi - EC, deputy Head of Unit in REA B5, Ms. P. Krasteva - project officer, REA B5, Mr. T. Telemachou - policy officer, EC DG Research and Innovation, participated in the meeting too. They presented the expectations of EC and the rules of managing H2020 projects. At press conference prof. Galusek, coordinator of the project, presented to media the objectives and time schedule of the project as the research activities of the future Centre. The press conference included Mr. Jaroslav Baška, chair of the Trenčín self-governing region and minister of Education of Slovak Republic, Mr. Peter Plavčan, confirmed at the conference the co-funding of the EU project by additional funding from the Operational program Research and Innovations of at least 10 M€ for upgrade and extension of its research facilities.
